Welcome to Stockton United For Change

Stockton United For Change (SUFC) are The Recognised Parent Carer Forum (PCF) for Stockton-On-Tees and was set up in 2008.

We are a group of parents & Carers of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabled children aged 0-25 who work alongside our local authority, education, health service and other service providers to make sure the services they plan, commission, deliver and monitor meet the needs of children and families. We do this through active parent participation and ensuring parents have a voice.

The steering / committee group lead the forum and listen to the views of other parent carers of Stockton to make sure they know what is important to them. We work closely with individuals and organisations that provide impartial information, advice and support to individual parents and young people, such as Parent Partnership Services and other parent groups, to ensure there is clarity about their respective roles and that the views and experiences of parent/ carers inform and influence local policy and practise.

We are a ‘pan disability’ forum which means that parents or carers of a child with any type of additional need or disability are welcome to join. Joining our forum does not mean you have to commit lots of time. You can join and receive information, or you can get more involved and join our steering / committee group.
